Long Cold Winter
I'm singing the blues with Cinderella about this Long Cold Winter.
Spring made a yeoman's effort today, as the high briefly hit 63. But the low of 41 suggests that the lion is still holding the lamb at bay. Weather dude par excellence Bob Breck opines that we will hit 70 (for the first time this year) this coming Lord's Day, and Thursday will see the once-filled-with-poisonous-mercury thermometers reach 75.
I hope so. I've had enough.
Anyway, throw another log on the fire, fire up a pot of gumbo, and enjoy the 1989 vintage performance above, dedicated to Rev. Dr. Rick Stuckwisch, father of ten children, father in Christ, master of theology, doctor of liturgics, and aficionado of classic eighties hair-metal.
41 cold? Are you bagging me? That's a daytime high here!

ReplyDeleteAre you kidding? I'm still waiting for winter to show up down here. I've only had to wear long pants two or three days this "winter"--and that had as much to do with wind speed as it did with temperature.
