I didn't know the late classically-trained heavy-metal guitar virtuoso Randy Rhoads (1956-1982) was a Missouri Synod Lutheran, until I was enlightened to this fact by enlightened by Sandi Bolen. Apparently, he was open about his faith as a Lutheran Christian. He sure had a vocation for music.
Actually, the facebook link just goes to the video that I linked to in my post.
And don't feel bad about forgetting the 1980s. It was all that spandex and mullets that we probably all want to forget anyway. But the music was great fun to listen to, and still is.
Neat! I'd like to share this with my friends from high school in the 90s who, with me, enjoyed Ozzy and Rhoads.
ReplyDeleteThe Facebook page isn't viewable by all, unfortunately. Curious about that enlightment, though, if you could share it via copy / paste or something.
Heh, make that the 80s. I forgot when I graduated. (It was '89.) That's what that music will do to you!

I'm glad you're enjoying your 'Crazy Train', pastor.
