Anyone who enjoys that quote may also enjoy Kevin R.C. Gutzman's columns on similar subjects. Gutzman has written a book called The Politically Incorrect Guide to the American Constitution. The article I'm linking to describes, among other things, how we fought the Revolution not to become a single nation but a group of thirteen "free and independent states" (read countries).
