Back in the USSA and the German Democratic Republic

Remember when Americans and their federal government used to universally denounce communism, fascism, and totalitarianism? I guess these once unpopular "-isms" became fashionable on this side of the pond after German unification and Soviet disillusion.

Here is what the federal government is becoming and with whom it is collaborating.

Just when I thought the previous administration had put the Constitution through the shredder, the next administration comes along to finish the job!

Isn't it ironic that "home-schooled" children generally outperform others in the USA?

This post was worth just for that picture...awesome.

'He drew himself up then and began to declaim, as if he were making a speech long rehearsed. "The Elder Days are gone. The Middle Days are passing. The Younger Days are beginning. The time of the Elves is over, but our time is at hand: the world of Men, which we must rule. But we must have power, power to order all things as we will, for that good which only the Wise can see.

"And listen, Gandalf, my old friend and helper!" he said, coming near and speaking now in a softer voice. "I said *we*, for *we* it may be, if you will join with me. A new Power is rising. Against it the old allies and policies will not avail us at all. There is no hope left in Elves or dying Numenor. This then is the one choice before you, before us. We may join with that Power. It would be wise, Gandalf. There is hope that way. Its victory is at hand; and there will be rich reward for those that aided it. As the Power grows, its proved friends will also grow; and the Wise, such as you and I, may with patience come at last to direct its courses, to control it. We can bide our time, we can keep our thoughts in our hearts, deploring maybe evils done by the way, but approving the high and ultimate purpose: Knowledge, Rule, Order; all the things that we have so far striven in vain to accomplish, hindered rather than helped by our weak or idle friends. There need not be, there would not be, any real change in our designs, only in our means."

'"Saruman," I said, "I have heard speeches of this kind before, but only in the mouths of emissaries sent from Mordor to deceive the ignorant. I cannot think that you broght me so far only to weary my ears."

At every Mass the Prayer of the Church includes the following petition: "For our public servants, for the government and those who protect us, that they may be upheld and strengthened in every good, let us pray to the Lord.

Last Sunday, after the signing of national health into law, one member suggested that this petition be revised.

If we hope to prevent our nation from actually becoming the USSA, we need to continually pray that the definition of our liberties established by our nations founders and enumerated in our Constitution, be preserved and protected.

This nation was founded upon God given rights. With the help of God, we will be able to retain and preserve these rights.

Let us all pay for the future of the USA.untri

It was the love affair with coerced education in Prussia that led Dewey and others to establish what should be called government schools in the land of the free. We built a nation without government schools that remains the envy of the world; but government schools will be our downfall.

Paul,

I agree with you; but our Constitution seems to show us that anything "Government" is the last thing to be desired. Our Founders limited government intervention in most cases. It was left up to the States (the people) to decide what was in their best interest. Enumerated Powers, and all that.

But we are now living in a time when Politicians want to dictate what is best for us (according to them), and the Constitution has been relegated to an outdated, second place.

Now that our Freedoms have been all but rescinded, we need to valiantly wave the banner that our founders created. We are, and ever shall be, the nation that was based upon God-given rights. That is something that Government has no authority to create.
