Justice, Texas Style

There was a time when kidnapping was a capital offense. I suspect not a single person will be prosecuted for this crime, and the perpetrators will probably be immune to any lawsuits.

In other Texas justice news, Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean remain incarcerated.

And they make jokes about how crooked Louisiana is!

And people complain about justice over here?

it seems the best way to find out which children were abused and which weren't was to bring them all into state custody for questioning.

Dear Brokenbeaker:

I guess "best" depends on whose ox is being gored.

These kinds of "best ways" is why our founders gave us such concepts as the presumption of innocence and the need for warrants (based on something more substantial than a prank phone call and religious bias) before property and children can be seized by the state.

Maybe the next step will be to bring all the children of home schoolers, all the children of evolution deniers, and all the children of those who do not recognize homosexual "marriage" "into state custody for questioning."

People used to come to America to escape such things.
