Finnish Lutherans Have a Faithful Bishop, Now with Video Goodness!

A few days ago, I posted this article about the new faithful Mission Province Lutheran Bishop of Finland, the Rt. Rev. Matti Väisänen.

Now, thanks to Dr. Chris Barnekov, the news authority for Scandinavian Lutheranism for English speakers, you can see the above video of the multilingual episcopal consecration of Bishop Väisänen which he posted at his Scandinavia House website. Chris has also posted a link to video of the consecration of Bishop Roland Gustafsson of the Mission Province.

Deo gratias!

Amen. I wonder if we (American Christians) will need African missionaries to evangelize and ordain pastors for us one day.

May God grow his faithful church in Finland. Can you imagine how angry the devil's church was about this event?

Indeed! Indeed!

BTW, it is glorious to see the courageous Bishop Obare always at the ready for the sake of the souls of our European brethren. He is a true hero of the Church.

That was way cooler than I thought it would be. Was that the Lord's Prayer they were saying when they laid hands on the new bishop? I thought it sounded like it. My teenage daughter was leaning over my shoulder watching it and recognized the song at the end. She impressed herself.
